Kai Riedl has been teaching classes on Asian religions, Buddhist ritual, and Music in Religious Culture in the religion dept at UGA for the last few years. He has received several grants to study music and religious culture in Indonesia. As a musician Kai was a founding member of the band Macha, has contributed tracks for the band Tuatara (collaborating with members of R.E.M and poet Coleman Barks), has produced and developed the Javasounds recording project and its remix counterpart Our New Silence.
Suny Lyons is a music producer / recording engineer, web / graphic designer, performer and recording artist from Athens, Georgia. He has engineered and produced music at the world-renowned Chase Park Transduction Studios for nearly a decade with bands like Macha, Lovers, The Low Lows, Tin Cup Prophette, PacificUV, Phosphorescent, and Hope For Agoldensummer. Suny was the primary recording, mixing, and mastering engineer and principle web designer for the Javasounds Indonesian Music Series. He is also currently an active member of
